Solo by design, senior by default.
Makhloof Studio is a boutique software studio led by Mahmoud Makhlouf, a senior full-stack engineer. The model is deliberate: one principal engineer who delivers agency-quality systems using modern tooling and AI — so clients get senior judgment end to end, not a layer of project managers between them and the code.
Across more than a dozen production projects — marketplaces, multi-tenant SaaS, ERP implementations, native mobile apps and self-hosted Linux infrastructure — the throughline is the same: ship the whole thing, get the hard parts right, and leave clients with a business that runs, not a prototype that demos.
Some of that work is not on this site. Three of the platforms I have contributed to run inside Egypt's Ministry of Interior, built by large teams at the companies that own them, and they are confidential — so they are counted here but never named, shown or linked. The rest of the portfolio is open, and it is where the judgment behind that work is easiest to see.

Less ceremony, more signal.
Senior on every line
No work handed down to juniors. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it — so judgment, not headcount, drives the result.
AI as leverage, not a crutch
Modern tooling and AI compress the busywork, so a single senior engineer can deliver what used to take a small team — without sacrificing quality.
Systems, not screens
Auth, payments, real-time state, ledgers, DevOps — the unglamorous parts that make software actually run a business get the same care as the UI.
